There's plenty of things to do at Blaenavon World Heritage Site this Summer! You can celebrate dance in Blaenavon with Dance on the Mountain Festival, look and listen for mysterious owls and birds emerging from the woods on a Bat & Nocturnal Bird Evening, enjoy West End Live at Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall, get involved with steampunk weekend at Blaenavon Ironworks and plenty more!

Blaenavon World Heritage Centre and Library 
Join us at the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre & Library this summer to enjoy a wide range of events and activities for all the family to enjoy. Summer Sundays in July. Come and join us for live music in the picturesque grounds of the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre.  Listen to the brass bands and enjoy refreshments from the Heritage Tea Rooms.  Blaenavon Town Band on 22nd July 2pm – 4pm

Blaenavon World Heritage Environmental Group

Bat & Nocturnal Bird Evening. Sat 14th July 2018 starting at 9:15pm. Look and listen for the mysterious Nightjars emerging from the woods to hunt over the moor, as well as owls and other birds. Suitable for all, the event will involve a little walking on the road.
“Canada Tip Bioblitz”
Sat 28th July 10:00am. The Canada Tips are the result of indiscriminate opencast coal mining. Areas of bare shale spoil are gradually being reclaimed by wildlife but little has been recorded about what is actually there. Join us and share in finding the unexpected!

"Garn y Gorfydd" guided walk. 28th July 2018 at 2:00pm. A short circular walk of about 4 km (2½ miles), starting from the Foxhunter Car Park, we will be skirting Mynydd y Garn Fawr and descending to visit the woodlands of Nant Llanelen. Further information:

Dance on the Mountain - A celebration of dance in Blaenavon
Saturday 21st July 11am – 4pm at Blaenavon Town Centre
This will be the fourth year that this festival has been held in Blaenavon. FREE entry to this great event ... all are welcome ... join us for an inspiring day.

Come and enjoy our Steampunk weekend at Blaenavon Ironworks!
Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July – 10am – 5pm – Free admission This is a Steampunk themed event looking at the influence of Victorian style on the modern world. Today's technology in Victorian style tells the story of industry through fun and games, music and fashion, art, comedy and good Victorian manners. Enjoy tea duelling and the Steampunk Olympics, as well as talks, rapping, demonstrations and craft stalls.
