This year people around the world will be able to ‘walk’ in the Brecon Beacons National Park without even having to leave your own home.  We hope the breathtaking 360° images will inspire you to plan a visit this year.

Iconic sections of the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales are available for the first time this year on Google Maps Street View.

National Park Authority wardens, staff, and volunteers spent months last summer carrying the 23kg Street View Trekker camera up and down miles and miles of some of the most scenic trails in the park including parts of the Beacons Way, Offa’s Dyke Path and the Gunpowder trail. The Trekker loaned to the Authority takes a series of pictures to create the panoramic view users of Google are now familiar with.

Other spots captured include the leafy trails of Craig y nos Country Park, the ruins of Llanthony Priory, the beauty of the Blaen-y-glyn waterfalls and many more.  You can see the full list here.
