Crickhowell Walking Festival
This month will bring Crickhowell' highly anticipated Walking Festival. Various events, such as film nights, talks and live music, will be held in venues dotted around the picturesque walking town, like The Bear Hotel and the Clarence Hall. Brecon's Women Festival will be beginning on the 4th of March, including the one day Artisan Crafts Market. Due to demand they have now expanded into the historic Market Hall... there's plenty of room and it's right in the middle of town with plenty of parking and a scrumptious assortment of food too!
Stalls include:
- paintings - glass - wood turning - textiles - willow - Food produce - Cafe
- haberdashery - Informations stands for Charities - jewellery - cards - hand carved spoons - prints - clay - vintage wool - accessories - felt-making - Pewter
- Foraging - books - holistic therapies - gardening - candles
....................and much more! Don't forget your pocket money 🙂
There are also buskers, poets, the Alive & Kicking Choir and high school pupils reading their original stories!

The National Botanic Garden of Wales have a number of 'Doggy Days' planned for the upcoming months, with a whole weekend where you can bring your dog along for a visit to the Gardens planned for the 11-12th March! For St David's Day on March 1st there will be free entry for everyone in honour of our patron Saint!

Stargazing Night at the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre
Dark Sky Wales with their mobile planetarium will take you on a virtual tour of the heavens, and hopefully the skies will be crisp and clear so Allan Trow and Martin Griffiths can also use the telescopes and binoculars to guide you around the heavens. There will also be a facinating talk from Martin Griffiths, the lead presenter for Dark Sky Wales
This wonderful time of year will also allow those participating to see the wonders of the late winter sky. Tickets are £15 which includes coffee and cake to get your evening off to a great start. This event starts at 7.00pm. Please come dressed in warm clothing. Organised by the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre in conjunction with Dark Skies Wales. Book tickets here.

There are many events being held in the Theatre this March, with shows for a range of all ages. If you're a fan of Abba, make sure you dust off your platforms, put on your flares and come along and enjoy an unforgettable night with Abbamania, on March 2nd. Or have a night in with the Opera, First performed in 1744 at Covent Garden, Handel’s Semele originally appeared as an Oratorio rather than an opera – and instantly caused a stir. The production used Congreve’s libretto based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses to bring to life the tragic tale of Semele’s ill-fated love for Jupiter the King of the Gods. Other shows include:
