AA Award

This new accolade will be added to the other awards the Guesthouse holds; The Michelin Guide 2018 with a BIB Hotel Award! Plus after a visit from the AA Inspector, they have been awarded Gold 4 Star Award alongside our Dinner and Breakfast Awards.

Built in the mid-1800s Rhedyn was originally a forester's cottage.

Muiread and Ciaran, the current owners, modernised the property over a three year period and opened as a bed and breakfast in 2010.

Throughout, the property has modern decoration without losing the character of the original of the 1840s forester's cottage, which is complemented by original artwork.

All the bedrooms have lots of little extras to ensure a memorable visit - king-sized beds, internet access, flat screen TV, dvd players, quiet refrigerators, intimate lighting and powerful showers, a selection of teas, coffee, and a carafe of sherry.  The delightful rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, two with large showers, and one with a luxurious, deep bath.

Visitors get to share the beautiful countryside by walking the mountains or the rivers edge, or riding the off-road biking trails, fishing in the River Wye or why not a slow wander followed by a candle-lit dinner.

If walking is not your thing, Rhedyn has a rapid e-car charging station and we are able to hire the Twizzy e-car or an e-bike, both great for a romantic picnic in the wilds.  Please order car or bike when booking.

Rhedyn B&B is set in the middle of a field with uninterrupted views in all directions, except for the sheep. They can be seen wherever you look. From the dining room, you can look out on the Mynydd Epynt, an upland area incorporating the Epynt Way, a new trail in this ancient landscape.

july bedswebMuiread and Ciaran adopt a thoughtful approach to running their bed and breakfast. They continue to look at ways to reduce our impact on the planet without compromising on your comfort and enjoyment of Rhedyn.

Whether it is recycling, growing our own produce, or reducing food miles they aim to get it right!
