There are so many ways to show your dear old Mum how much she means to you on this special day in the Brecon Beacons.

We thought we’d start with something traditional - you can never go wrong with an old fashioned afternoon tea. As you only want the best for Mum on Mother’s Day treat her to their top notch afternoon tea which has held the ‘Award of Excellence’ since 2008. For something slightly cheaper but still the highest quality, the Gliffaes’ buffet afternoon tea will not disappoint with rows of homemade sandwiches and cakes for £13.20. The views from the terrace on a sunny day aren’t bad either!

If you can’t quite stretch that, the Brecon Jazz festival have day tickets from only £25!

For presents keep it simple and local with chocolates from Black Mountain Gold, flowers from Love Lily or jewellery and a vintage treat from one of Hay-on-Wye’s many boutiques.
