Events in the Brecon Beacons in November.

You may be arranging a trip to the Brecon Beacons this November, there is plenty of fun things to see during your stay with us, here are a few upcoming events this month.  For the full event listing go our our website.

An illustrated talk arranged by the Brecon Beacons Park Society at The Bear Hotel in Crickhowell, starting at 7.30pm.  Charles and Helen Henderson will describe their trek to the Everest Base Camp on an alternative route, taking us past the beautiful Gokyo Lakes and over the high Cho La pass with stunning views before dropping into the Khumbu valley.  They booked their trek through a locally bathumb_6728__auto_888a33250dc28a4a61be7be79320469ased Nepalese firm, and will share their experiences of staying in the Sherpa teahouses and exploring the Kathmandu valley.  They will also give a quick update on the current situation there after the terrible earthquake in April.

We will be hosting our Christmas Vintage & Antique Fayre of the 7th of November in the Clarence Hall Crickhowell, this year we are raising funds with our charity raffle for the Wales air Ambulance. The Oriel CRiC Gallery will over the Remembrance Day period in November 2015 be the venue for an Art auction hosted by Major General The Reverend R.M. Llewellyn  CB OBE DL BA,  in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The ABF is the Army’s National Charity, thumb_6724__auto_888a33250dc28a4a61be7be79320469ahelping soldiers, veterans and families from every conflict.  It is hoped to raise significant funds for the charity while showcasing artists’ work and spending a thoroughly enjoyable evening.   • CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN THE ORIEL CRIC GALLERY-21st November
    The Oriel cric gallery hosts this very popular annual exhibition to offer some of the best in Welsh art and craft in the run up to the festive season. An invitation is extended to gallery friends old and new to visit for  a mince pie and mulled wine Christmas celebration in the Oriel CRiC Gallery on Saturday 21 November from 12 pm onwards as part of  the “Christmas at CRiC” events. The Christmas exhibition runs from 18 November 2015 to mid-January 2016

Join Hay on Wye's  one-day Food Festival. It’s limited to just 50 local producers to ensure the quality is the best, and there’s entertainment from local brass bands, male voice choirs and folk musicians. The Hay Winter Food Festival is now in its 7th year. The event will be held in the Memorial car park in Hay-On-Wye.
