Llandovery Sheep Festival Returns for 2025 – A Weekend of Wool, Workshops and Live Music

By j.bell on 04/08/2025

Llandovery Sheep Festival is back on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2025, bringing rural culture to life in the historic town of Llandovery (Llanymddyfri) in Carmarthenshire, on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park

Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy free entry while exploring a vibrant mix of marquees, craft stalls, street food, live entertainment and family workshops. Celebrating droving heritage, sheep farming and the wool industry, the festival transforms Market Square and Castle car park into a colourful showcase of local produce, textiles and performance art

Expect highlights like vintage tractor displays, storytelling sessions, wheelbarrow races, live music, textile demonstrations, climate forums and even an insect Olympics for younger participants. There’s something for every age—art lovers, food fans, families and those keen to learn about Welsh rural life.

Experience local flavours from street food vendors and artisan producers, hike around the heritage surroundings, and soak up the community spirit that has made the event a growing favourite since its launch in 2010

No advance ticket needed. Opening hours: marquees Saturday & Sunday 10 am–4 pm; entertainment late into Saturday evening and shorter schedule on Sunday
