Get ready for a day of colour, creativity and community spirit as the Llandovery & District Carnival returns on Sunday, 25 May 2025. One of the most vibrant and anticipated events in the local calendar, the Carnival promises a brilliant family day out, all in support of local causes — right in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
This year’s theme, “As Seen On TV,” will bring the streets of Llandovery to life with costumes inspired by famous characters, beloved shows and unforgettable small-screen moments. The Carnival procession sets off at 1pm from Ysgol Rhys Prichard, winding through the town with music, laughter and a wave of community spirit.
After the parade, the celebrations continue at Llandovery Rugby Club, where you will find:

With entry at £5 for adults and free for under-16s, the Carnival is a fantastic value day out for families. Best of all, every penny raised supports local charities, clubs and initiatives, helping to strengthen the brilliant community that makes Llandovery shine.
A special presentation evening will follow the Carnival, celebrating and thanking the volunteers, groups and individuals whose hard work and generosity bring this much-loved event to life year after year.
