Organised by Glandŵr Cymru / Canal & River Trust in Wales, the events will illuminate different sections of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal with large-scale lanterns, glowing installations, and family-friendly activities.
Each evening features a gentle towpath walk led by illuminated sculptures, creating a chance for communities and visitors to enjoy the canal after dark while celebrating this landmark anniversary.
Towpath processions last around one hour and are free to attend. Everyone is welcome to take part, and the Canal & River Trust is inviting boaters to light up their moored boats as part of the celebration.
These evenings form part of a wider programme commemorating Brecon Canal 225 (1800–2025), highlighting the heritage, wildlife, and community value of the waterway.
