This weekend Abergavenny Food Festival, Glangrwyney Food Jam Festival and Craig Y Nos storytelling festival will be taking place in the Brecon Beacons National Park! Watch professional chefs and walk through extensive markets at Abergavenny Food Festival, indulge in plenty of amazing street food at Food Jam Festival and enjoy a day and evening of storytelling, music, circus and crafts in the atmospheric Craig Y Nos Country Park. Why not check out one the country’s top food festivals this year.The event has been called ‘The Glastonbury of Food Festivals’ (Observer) and is renowned for its fantastic atmosphere and Welsh hospitality.The extensive markets spill into the streets and lanes, offering a huge variety of produce – from pepper plants to Welsh pancakes – featuring the best producers from Wales, the Marches, and much further afield. Enjoy sensory extremes and subtle contrasts – an explosion of chilli, a long cool beer. A real feast for the senses. In addition to the main markets there are individually ticketed Masterclasses, Tutored Tastings and Talks showcasing some of the most skilled, passionate and knowledgeable practitioners in the country alongside local and regional talent.

Boutique in size big on taste. A family friendly day Saturday September 16th, 11 to 6pm, start the day with a barista style coffee, bacon roll, sweet crêpe nutella & banana maybe or cheese stuffed washed down with a fresh juice. Enjoy the family entertainment, go karts, bouncy castle, glitter tattoos and sheepdog show. Craig Y Nos Storytelling Festival

Storytelling Festival at the Country Park on Saturday 16th September. £5 adults, kids free. A day and evening of storytelling, music, arts, circus and crafts and a great atmosphere for the whole family set in the historic grounds of Craig-y-nos Country Park, once the home of world famous opera singer Adelina Patti.
