The Felin Fach Griffin has once again been named 'Dining Pub of the Year for Wales' by The Good Pub Guide and here at the Brecon Beacons we couldn't be more proud!
The Griffin has been owned since May 2000 by brothers Charles and Edmund Inkin through their company, EATDRINKSLEEP. It has seven bedrooms and a thriving bar and restaurant, and is grounded in their belief in doing the simple things well. Julie Bell is host at The Griffin and Ross Bruce has been head chef since 2011.
The
2014 Good Pub Guide says of The Felin Fach Griffin: “Highly thought of dining pub with home-grown vegetables among its carefully sourced ingredients and fine range of drinks; upbeat rustic décor, inviting bedrooms.”
Edmund Inkin commented on the Good Pub Guide’s award: “Although I should maybe say that we couldn’t possibly deserve to win this award for the third time running, it is a real testament to the efforts of Julie and Ross’ teams that their consistency and excellence is recognised year after year.”
Julie Bell added, “This part of the world is a fantastic place to live in. Clever brewers, great ingredients for our kitchen and a landscape to die for. And a crowd of interesting and funny people. All the things that make Wales great.”
