There’s lots of family fun down on the farm this summer at Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre.

This summer will see the opening of Cantref’s 5 ½ acre maize maze for the very first time.  This is a great way for families to get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains.  The kids will love hunting for the hidden animals in the maze too.  The Maze will be open all summer and is included in the normal admission price.

Cantref has a packed programme of activities starting with Superhero Day on 5th of August.  Dress up as your favourite superhero character and come and enjoy our superhero themed shows and activities.  There is even a prize for the best costume on the day!  All the Cantref team will be joining in and putting on their best superhero fancy dress costumes too.

We will be holding a bouncy castle week for the first time between Wed 12th and Wed 19^th of August.  Every kid loves a bouncy castle and will have hours of fun.  We will have 4 bouncy castles suitable for different ages and an inflatable slide.

We are very excited to welcome the official Ben and Holly to the farm for the first time this summer on 26^th August.  Come and meet your favourite t.v characters and take a magical photo to remember your special day out.

We are rounding up the summer events with everybody’s favourite Pirate and Princess Weekend during the August Bank Holiday 29^th – 31^st August.  We will have pirate themed games, treasure hunt, princess pamper pony sessions and fancy dress competition for the best dressed pirate and best dressed princess.

Other special activities include Sheep Shearing Demonstrations every Tuesday and Thursday when you can watch farmer Ken give the sheep a haircut.  In the riding centre every Wednesday Cantref will be holding Own a Pony Days.  Own a Pony Days are suitable for children age 6+ from complete beginners to the more experienced horse rider.  Pre-booking is essential.  This is a perfect treat for any pony mad child this summer.

All this combined with loads of indoor and outdoor play and shows every half an hour like bottle feeding  kid goats, pet handling, Mr Ev’s show, pig racing, tractor rides, pony rides and more you are sure to have a great day out with the kids in the Brecon Beacons this summer!
