There's little argument that experiencing an international match rugby the Welsh Capital; Cardiff is very a special cultural experience, but if you're not lucky enough to have a ticket the world renowned Millennium Stadium you can still experience the wonderful match day atmosphere by getting yourself to a local rugby club or country pub.

Why do Welsh people love Rugby Union? When other nationalities think of Wales, they think of mountains, The Stereophonics, Sheep and Rugby.

Love for the sport of Rugby is ingrained in us from the moment we land in this world. Welsh Rugby professionals often refer to the intense love and scrutiny we have for the sport as the 'Gold Fish Bowl'.

The pride and passion is unbiased across all ages and everybody has an opinion on the matter regardless if you're an 85 year old Great Grandmother or a 4 year old primary school pupil who imagines they are Dan Biggar the fly-half star of the World Cup at play times.  Despite Wales being the little brother when it comes to our international neighbours our pride and passion has resulted in us punching well above our weight over recent years.

This has never been more apparent than with our heroics during last years injury riddled World Cup campaign. If you want to immerse yourself in the passion and delirium the Welsh public has for its national sport, look no further than a local pub or a Rugby Club.

The atmosphere on match day is incomparable to a normal pub experience. Win, lose or draw be ready to give your vocal chords a work out, be prepared to make some new friends and sample some local tipples and cheer away......Iechyd da!
