Step back in time this summer as the Royal Welsh Museum hosts a one-day celebration marking the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. The Victory & Vintage Festival brings the spirit of the 1940s to life with music, entertainment and living history for all ages – right in the heart of Brecon.

🎶 Highlights include:

  • Live 1940s music from the Siren Sisters and George Formby Experience (Alan Yates)
  • The Welsh Tommies – meet historical characters who bring the past to life
  • Scoop Magic – close-up performances to delight all ages
  • Vintage vehicle displays – classic military and civilian models
  • Brecon Jazz Fringe – adding a soundtrack of smooth tunes and historical rhythm

The event takes place within the grounds of Brecon Barracks, offering a rare chance to explore this historic site during a day full of music, heritage and hands-on activities.
