The threads collaboration grew from The Community Shawl Project which looks at the importance of the strength that is manifested when women connect, and the healing process that begins when they share their stories; and The Red Art Project which looks at the issues around women’s empowerment and seeks to creatively explore women’s stories. Inspired by Kirstie Macleod’s The Red Dress Embroidery Project, the collaboration seeks to help women express their resilience and creativity through learning new crafts or dance. Members Emma Bevan-Henderson, Liz Davis, Carol Kay and Mary Wrenn will show work alongside invited guest Artists Helen Crawford, Sue Hiley Harris, Michael Howard, Hannah Hughes and Jo Hughes Exhibition runs Wed 5th March to 5th April - Tue to Sat 10 – 4.30pm
