Discover a different side of Merthyr Tydfil on this 6.5-mile circular walk through industrial history, woodland, river valleys and the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog.
Starting at Cyfarthfa Park, the route combines scenic trails with the story of Merthyr’s ironmaking past. Walkers will pass the remains of the blast furnaces, cross Cefn Viaduct and follow the Taff Trail towards the Taf Fechan valley, with time to notice how industry and nature meet in this changing landscape.
