Overview

The Crickhowell Walking Festival returns in March 2026 with more than 80 guided walks, evening events, and challenges set across the stunning landscapes of Bannau Brycheiniog. From gentle rambles to strenuous mountain routes, the programme offers something for every ability and interest.

Event Highlights

• 15 brand-new walks added for 2026
• 14 linear walks including bus transport
• Night walks, family-friendly walks, dog-friendly walks
• TM5 Challenge on Table Mountain – a returning favourite
• Photo Competition
• Sole Survivor Distance Challenge — for the participant covering the most festival miles
• Evening talks and social events throughout the week
• Boot Grade system (1–4) to help you choose the right level
• Walks generally limited to 20 people; linear walks limited to 14 due to transport capacity

Walkers of all levels — from casual explorers to experienced hikers — looking to enjoy guided routes, learn from expert leaders, and discover new areas of Bannau Brycheiniog.

Velindre Cancer Care will be  this year’s charity of choice alongside the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre.
