Celebrate Hay-on-Wye's lasting affinity with the Malian town of Timbuktu with a night of comedy and music!
The sounds of mirth will be heard from the Globe at Hay on November 2nd as you celebrate a renewed effort to maintain Hay's bonds with the Malian town. There's an almighty line-up of entertainment as participants Stand-Up for Timbuktu!
Headlining the comedy is Woody Bop Muddy, a Glastonbury Festival legend, famed for his 'Record Graveyard' cabaret show. He journeys through music past leaving a wake of destruction in his path. Support comes from Noel James, Simon Emmanuel and Paul James.
The pace will be stepping up a gear as Sheelanagig take to the stage. An absolute favourite of the globe, the band play rabid gypsy music at a terrifying pace. This is combined with incredible on stage antics including a bit of acrobatics if you're lucky! Finishing the proceedings will be a set from DJ Aubrey Fry.
Early bird tickets for both the music and the comedy are £9 (standard price £12) To book tickets click here.
