The end is nigh! We are on our penultimate day of the advent calendar so it's time to start looking ahead to 2014. Here are our top picks for the upcoming year, so start booking early, put it in your dairy and here's to another marvelous year in the Brecon Beacons...
January will see the Llangorse Dark Skies event which ties in perfectly with some romantic stargazing for St. Dwynwen's Day.
In February we look forward to St. Valentine's Day as the Brecon Beacons is one of the most romantic areas of the UK. Why not choose from one of these romantic cottages?
In March Brecon will be celebrating wonderful woman for their annual Women's Festival as well as the Crickhowell Walking Festival for all you hikers and strollers. Or why not test your endurance with the South Wales Three Peaks?
We will be looking forward to celebrating the second year of the new Hay Cycling Festival in April in the spring sunshine.
May sees a whole host of festivals from the Talgarth Walking Festival to the Abergavenny Steam Rally and of course the famous Hay Literature Festival who are sure to put on another fantastic line up for all you culture vultures.
Geofest will be taking place at the beginning of June followed by the Brecon Folk Festival and the Hay Food Festival.
July is all about music and parties with the Llandeilo Jazz Festival, the Abergavenny Carnival and Monmouth Festival. And of course the month of July means the Royal Welsh Show!
The Brecon Beacons will be buzzing in August with the Brecon Jazz Festival celebrating its 30th anniversary and the Green Man Festival enjoying its ninth year in Glanusk Estate.
With September we instantly think of the beloved Abergavenny Food Festival, an annual highlight for foodies all over the country, and we can't forget the Llandovery Sheep Festival which is a great day out for all the family.
In October we can get our boots on once again for the Hay Walking Festival and the Monmouthshire Walking Festival as well as the very glamorous Brecon Baroque Festival.
We welcome the Wales GB Rally in November as well as some slightly more eccentric events in Llanwrtyd Wells such as the Real Ale Wobble.
Then of course in December we're back to Christmas and we all know from the past 22 days of our advent calendar that no-one does it better than the Beacons!
