This May Bank Holiday, the hills and high streets of Crickhowell will come alive with creativity as Crickhowell Open Studios returns from 24–26 May 2025. With free entry to 24 venues across the area, the event invites visitors to explore a remarkable range of original art and meet the artists behind the work — all set within one of the most picturesque towns in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).

Crickhowell Open Studios is one of the most popular fixtures in the local arts calendar, offering a chance to visit artists in their homes, studios, and pop-up venues ranging from cafés and churches to galleries and converted workrooms.
Expect to find:
Paintings and printmaking
Textiles, jewellery and sculpture
Ceramics, glasswork and mixed media
With over 300 artists involved, there’s something for every interest and budget — whether you’re collecting, browsing or simply soaking up inspiration.
The weekend begins at the oriel CRiC gallery, home to the Open Art exhibition — a much-anticipated highlight and listed as venue number one in the guide. It’s the perfect launch point for your route around town and a great place to speak with staff, pick up a guide, and get recommendations.
