We have lots of different terrain to explore, including towpaths, lanes and hillside tracks. And thanks to our public transport network, you can leave the car behind – especially on summer Sundays, when the Bike Bus is running.

Cycle Across the Beacons
To celebrate Visit Wales “Year of Adventure” a new on-road cycle route called ‘Cycle Across the Beacons’, which is 56 miles along country lanes and some canal, has been produced.
The route runs from Llandeilo in the West to Abergavenny in the East, following a Roman Road with panoramic views of the Central Beacons,winding along lovely country lanes before joining the pretty tow path by the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

There are regular cycling competitions and events you can get involved in, with the recent Festival of Cycling and Velothon being held in the town of Abergavenny. With the new Cycle Across the Beacons route launched, their is now even more of an excuse to come to the Brecon Beacons for your cycling holiday.
