Christmas Markets and Fairs in the Brecon Beacons

Get into the festive spirit by visiting one of the many Brecon Beacons' Christmas markets and fairs.

After the first fall of snow last weekend, winter is upon us, the air has got colder, the nights are drawing in and the count down to Christmas has well and truly begun.  We have lots of Christmas markets and fairs happening in communities right across the Brecon Beacons, it's a perfect way to get in the mood for Christmas and start your shopping- let the festivities begin!

Hay On Wye Winter Food Festival- 28 Nov
Join Hay on Wye's  one-day Food Festival. It’s limited to just 50 local producers to ensure the quality is the best, and there’s entertainment from local brass bands, male voice choirs and folk musicians.

The Hay Winter Food Festival is now in its 7th year. The event will be held in the Memorial car park in Hay-On-Wye. More

 

dinefwr2Llandeilo Edwardian Christmas Fayre at Dinefwr-28-29 Nov
There’s festive fun for everyone at The Llandeilo Edwardian Christmas Fayre at Dinefwr on the weekend of the 28th November from 11 till 5 - a mansion and courtyard filled with gift ideas and special treats.Whatever the weather, you can enjoy choirs and bands in the courtyard and festive entertainment in Newton House. Plus, Santa will be there both days arriving at 11am with free mulled wine and mince pies for everyone! More here

First staged in 1990, the Winter Fair is now firmly established as one of the most popular attractions on t
he British agricultural show calendar. Leading stockmen from all over the UK compete for the top accolades in the competitions running throughout the two-day event.
Away from the judging rings the very best of Welsh food producers 
will be showcasing their produce and Christmas shoppers can explore the hundreds of tradestands, demonstrations and exhibitions, and festive atmosphere. Info here

Join in the Festive cheer with this Christmas market.Over 30 Food, Artisan, Craft and Vintage Stalls,Torchlight processions through the Town, Have a go Bell ringing,Carols from school choirs and the coral society, Roller Disco,  Mulled Wine, Hog Roast, Christmas Trees for sale. And lots lots more! Aberglasney Winter Fair-Dec 4-6
To get into the festive spirit the Aberglasney Winter Fair offers all visitors a free mince pie and mulled wine to enjoy as you stroll around the fair. The grounds of the mansion are filled with stalls selling homemade Welsh gifts, crafts and Christmas decorations. The Fine Food and Drinks Hall will be filled with seasonal foods, perfect to stock up on the holiday season. More Info here

Makers and Artists Christmas Fair at The Muse Brecon- Dec 5
Hosted by the Big Skill, this year’s Christmas Fayre at the Muse promises to be something special for the whole family to enjoy! On Saturday 5th December 11-6pm, with beautiful handmade crafts downstairs and workshops upstairs. The cafe at the Fayre will be run by staff and volunteers of Usk House Hospice, with mulled wine and festive foods! For more information check the event out on facebook or click here

Christmas Craft Fayre at Craig Y Nos Country Park- Dec 19
A chance to buy those last minute special hand-made gifts and meet the local artists and designers.Music at 10:30 and 12:30 and refreshments on site. Free entry (parking charges apply) More

Taste of Christmas at the National Botanic Garden of Wales- Dec 19-20
Indulge yourself in some seasonal Christmas treats at the National Botanic Garden’s popular Christmas Food Fair weekend on December 19 & 20.  The stunning Great Glasshouse is the venue for this celebration of natlocal food and drink and there is certainly something for everyone among the festive offerings in the largest single-span glasshouse on the planet. 10am-4.30pm. Normal Garden admission applies. Tickets for the Santa show in Theatr Botanica are £3 per seat and performances are at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm.
