This Christmas find the perfect handmade gift in the Brecon Beacons National Park at one of the winter arts and crafts exhibitions.

Throughout the winter, Platform One are exhibiting and selling their work at the National Park Visitor Centre throughout December and just a few miles from Brecon and Craig-y-nos Country Park’s annual Christmas Fair takes place on Saturday 17 December.

Platform One are a local network of artists, based in and around the park, whose work include leather work, jewellery, photography, paintings, wood turning and cards. Wayne Lewis, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority’s Commercial Manager added;

“Throughout the Winter the tearooms are open every day, 9.30am – 4.30pm (except Christmas Day), make time to visit Platform One’s art and craft exhibition upstairs, open 10am – 4pm. Visitors can shop for beautiful handmade Christmas gifts then have lunch in the tearooms. There is plenty of parking onsite and one of the best views of Pen y Fan around.”

Craig-y-nos Country Park’s annual Christmas Fair takes place on the 17th December, open 10am-3pm also promises more delightful handmade craft gifts – you will find them on display in the Hibbert Room at the top of the carpark.

Visitors can take their dogs for a walk in the beautiful Country Park, which is open every day apart from the 25th December and visit the shop and tearooms.
