Brecon With Bells On is a Christmas extravaganza taking place throughout Brecon Town Centre. It's being organised by Brecon Town Council who have arranged a Christmas Market in marquees, Christmas stalls, children's games, street food and entertainment.
Father Christmas will be in his grotto! The event starts at 12 noon and ends at 6:30pm. At 6pm the town's Christmas lights will be turned on by Neil Morrissey!! More here.
Hay Festival Winter Weekend is an annual mini-festival taking place just before Christmas in Hay-on-Wye. Events take place at venues around the town, and include a wide range of author events, music, comedy and performance, as well as workshops for kids and Christmas shopping.
Hay's Christmas lights are turned on the 23rd, and extra fun is provided by the local arts and crafts market and Hay & District Chamber of Commerce. Hang out with friends, laugh fit to burst, and enjoy the finest stories, ideas, food and company. More here.
There’s festive fun for everyone at The Llandeilo Traditional Christmas Fayre at Dinefwr on the weekend of the 26th November from 10 till 6 - a mansion and courtyard filled with gift ideas and special treats.
Whatever the weather, you can enjoy choirs and bands in the courtyard and festive entertainment in Newton House. Plus, Santa will be there both days and there’s free mulled wine and mince pies for everyone! More here.
Come and celebrate Christmas and witness the finest prime stock show in Europe at this year’s Royal Welsh Winter Fair. First staged in 1990, the Winter Fair is now firmly established as one of the most popular attractions on the British agricultural show calendar. This Christmas we’re offering Christmas dinner at the Garden. The Christmas menu begins on Monday 3rd December and will run until Sunday 23rd December.
Entry is included in the price if you have pre-booked. Walk-in’s will be dealt with as normal, i.e entry and meal will need to be paid for. Crackers and napkins will be provided with a pre-booked meal. Garden Members will receive a discount of 10% of the menu price. Garden Volunteers will have their usual discounted rate. Deposits of £5 per person will need to be paid to secure a booking. This is non-refundable.
On 6 December the annual Christmas Fair will take place in various venues, creating the opportunity for more people to enjoy the festive atmosphere, while Crickhowell businesses offer a festive Late Night Shopping opportunity. CRiC's community Christmas tree decorating competition will also take place in various venues and St Edmund's Church is putting on a great programme of children's activities. More here.

Tradition at Tretower - old and new combine at Christmas for a Fayre and Festivities!
Visit our Christmas Fayre at Tretower for some local products from some local sources – and maybe get some inspiration for those last-minute gift ideas too. On Saturday we have the added attraction of the Medieval Household; come and learn how the Vaughan family retainers celebrated the festive season. Holly and ivy, mistletoe and mulled wine, wreaths and Yule logs, and there may be one or two carols as well – old ones, of course!
