Training company Call of the Wild Ltd has been shortlisted for the Conference and Incentive Travel Awards 2017 (C&IT) for its elite team performance work with Premiership rugby team, Worcester Warriors.

The company, based at Seven Sisters, near Neath, is competing with two other finalists for the Team Building Experience of the Year Award. The awards are considered by many to be the Oscars for the conference and incentive travel industry. The winners will be announced at The London Hilton on Park Lane on Friday, September 22.

“We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted,” said Geraint Lewis, managing director of the company. “It illustrates that our work in the fields of management training, team building and leadership development is recognised as some of the best in the country.”

Multi-award-winning Call of the Wild was set up in 1998 by three old school friends who gave up their professional careers and returned to their hometown to pursue their dream of owning and running a training company with a difference.

The company has grown to be not only one of the biggest in Wales but also the UK, regularly delivering programmes for clients across Europe. It has a client base which includes companies such as Orange Mobile Phones, Panasonic, Admiral, BMW and Vodafone.

Editor of the C&IT Magazine, Susie Harwood said: "The C&IT Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the best B2B events delivered in the UK and overseas by top brands and their agencies.

“From inspiring international incentives in far-flung destinations, to innovative internal communications conferences designed to engage and motivate employees, the C&IT Awards showcase best practice and innovation in events.

“Our judging panel – hand-picked to include event experts from the top brands, agencies and suppliers – will look for entries that can demonstrate both creativity and proven ROI across all 18 categories.”
