Two members of Brecon and District Mind have had artwork chosen for the Mind National Calendar. Dave Griffiths’s watercolour illustrates February and Glenda Price’s autumnal print has been used for September. This is a great achievement as artworks were asked from Mind centres all over Britain. Dave and Glenda have been working with artist Veronica Gibson on a weekly basis at the Brecon Mind centre in Free Street.

The calendars and original artwork by Dave and Glenda as well as other members of the Brecon and District Mind will be on sale at the Art Fair in St Mary’s Church from 16-18 October. They come together with local well-established and lesser-known artists and Crickhowell Potters to present an array of paintings, pottery, textiles, photographs and sculpture in St Mary’s Church, Brecon.

It is an opportunity not to be missed to meet the Brecon Mind art group. The artists, who are all friends or members of Brecon and District Mind, will be on hand throughout the fair to discuss their work. It is a great opportunity to buy those early Christmas presents from talented local artists and craftspeople.
