If you like to buy the freshest of produce and also like to know where your food comes from, you might like to visit your local farmers market.
Brecon Farmers Market is held at Brecon Market Hall on a monthly basis, taking place on the second Saturday of the month.
It's a friendly and usually bustling market with a varied and tempting range of locally produced foods which include: honey, gourmet sauces, real ale, free range eggs, honey, welsh cakes, cheese, meat from local farms, jams, the hottest of chilli sauces, savoury pies, tapas and even biscuit treats for your dog!
Apart from the great edible produce on offer, check out some great handmade products like Rebound books and locally turned wooden bowls and breadboards.
This month's Farmers Market music comes from folk duo Alan Cooper and Dan James and also accordionist Jamie Huish.
Teri-Ann from Love At First Bake is well known for her award winning cakes and savoury muffins at the Farmers Market Café but cream teas and French pastries are new for summer. Wash it all down with a glass of Prosecco – Charlotte Church style!
Brecon Farmers Market is open from 9:30am – 2pm. For more information find Brecon Farmers Market on Facebook or visit www.breconfarmersmarket.co.uk #BreconFarmersM
