The Brecon Beacons Film Festival 2026 has unveiled its official selection, with 21 films and screenplays chosen from around 80 submissions received from filmmakers in Wales, across the UK and around the world.
Taking place at The Muse, Brecon, on Saturday 4 July, the one-day festival promises an afternoon and evening of independent cinema, filmmaker interviews and audience Q&A sessions.
Running from 4.00pm until 10.00pm, the festival is free to attend, with no booking required, allowing visitors to drop in for a single screening or stay for the whole programme.

A highlight of the evening will be a special interview with Tom Bullough, screenwriter of Mr Burton, who will discuss his work and the creative process behind bringing stories to the screen.
With a licensed bar, a relaxed atmosphere and a programme showcasing a wide variety of independent films, the festival offers a fantastic opportunity to discover new filmmaking talent while enjoying one of Brecon’s growing cultural events.
