It's that time of year again!
Brecon Beacons Food Festival is back and better than ever this Saturday 1st October at Brecon Market Hall. It'll be foodie heaven with over 70 Welsh food and drink suppliers selling their produce.
From 10am until 5pm you can shop, taste, cook, order your Christmas turkey and swap recipes until you drop! We're excited just thinking about it.Mouth-watering local produce, cooking demonstrations, recipe ideas plus FREE admission – all make the perfect ingredients for the 18th annual Brecon Beacons Food Festival.
With over 70 Welsh producers, growers, award winning chefs and local food suppliers firmly at its heart, festival goers will be presented with the very best Welsh produce to be found in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Festival goers can look forward to sampling a range of produce from bread to beers and cheese to Welsh cakes with most items travelling less miles than the visitors themselves. Foody highlights will include cooking demonstrations from award winning chefs including Welsh Celebratory Chef, Nerys Howells at 11am, Welsh Culinary Olympic Chefs Ryan Jones and Colin Grey at 12noon and Shaun Bailey at 1pm.

The entertainment continues into afternoon with Derek Brockway and Sue Charles from the BBC Wales Weather team at 2pm and Brecon’s very own Bake Off with an added touch of comedy at 3pm. At 3.45pm the cook from Gwernyfed High School will be round off a wonderful day’s entertainment.
Food Festival organiser and Catering Manager for Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Andrew Powell says, “The Food Festival is always a popular event. It’s an enjoyable day out for everyone and our visitors go home with their shopping bags full of delicious welsh produce. The added music from Little West-enders, the Talgarth Male Voice Choir, Builth Wells Ladies Choir and Tony Royale add an extra reason to visit the festival this Saturday.”

Its timing with the harvest season is perfect and the food and drink on offer is at its best. Brecon Beacons Food Festival is the perfect day out for everyone - from those who are passionate about their food to those who are happy to taste.”

farmers' markets and food fairs bring our best local farmers, growers and artisan producers and together under one roof. They're friendly occasions.
